Losers weepers?
Our Men’s Bible Study (aka MBS) had its regular weekly Zoom yesterday morning with about two dozen faithful and mature believers and seekers in attendance. Today it was again my quarterly turn to share the message. I’ve been working on finishing the second book in Course 2, entitled Kingdom, for the past few months and was able to submit it successfully for publication earlier this week, so my mind has been filled with Kingdom eschatology and promises, including the critical topic of final judgment. It’s difficult to communicate with today’s world, steeped as it is in ignorance and denial about the binary options available to us. Don’t we all just disappear (or go to Heaven) when we die?
Well, I suppose it might be nice if God’s plans for eternity were as simple as most people appear to think they are, but my studies don’t support the idea. Instead, I come upon Christ’s offer to be the one an only “door of hope” to eternal life: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” That’s pretty straightforward and is confirmed throughout the biblical record. In a nutshell, that’s what my “Finders keepers” talk is all about. Still interested? Please join me in prayer that we will each hear and heed our Savior’s call! Click here to download and view a PDF of my PowerPoint presentation or here (with Passcode gH&x9Ca8) to link to a Zoom recording of the presentation.
PS: The Zoom format has also proven to be an excellent venue for Celebrate Salvation groups. If you’re interested, have any questions about my recent talk or groups in general, or would like some support in getting a group going in your neighborhood or church, please feel free to contact me!
Enjoyed your brief message here and the ppt is powerful. May God continue to bless you brother.
